Woodstock Elementary School Group Gives to COH

The Girl Power group of 4th grade girls did some fundraising for our agency and in total raised $1705!! Erika Travinski, Assistant COO, and Lee Boyd, program member at Center of Hope Foundation, Inc., accepted the check on behalf of the agency and spoke to them about our agency, mission statement, and what human services is. Lee said all of the fun things she enjoys at the Center and included her experience at last year’s Talent Show where her and her boyfriend did a skit from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. 🙂 Erika further explained that we support adults with disabilities/different abilities to actively engage in their community, learn work skills, and become involved in many other aspects of the agency and surrounding area such as volunteering and becoming members of Special Olympics. Erika thanked the girls for their incredible generosity and enthusiasm with fundraising for our agency. And Sarah Hull, one of the WES teachers and leaders of Girl Power, was sporting one of the very cool “Jog with Judy” shirts that Carol Mahoney and Kristy Morin created from our Center of Hope small business “Vivid”.
