Open Enrollment for the Autism Children’s Waiver will be open from
November 7, 2014 – November 21, 2014 (operated by the Department of
Developmental Services- DDS).  Intended for children on the autism
spectrum (ASD) aged birth to 8 years old who also require intensive services in
the home and community. Supports include applied behavior analysis, floor-time
and communications skills development.  There are eligibility guidelines.
By enrolling you have the opportunity to obtain these services once funding is
available.  Also the waiting list helps the legislature understand that
more funding is needed.  Those that applied in last year’s open enrollment
do need to apply again if services were not received. Go
to this site at DDS for eligibility information and remember
applications can’t be submitted until November 7.
